User Interface

Cycle's interface can be a little intimidating, according to some (okay...mostly everyone). But a little explanation goes a long way.

Workflow

The point-and-line workflow is quite distinct from other synthesizers and is more akin to CAD or 3D design applications. Really, the toolset is quite small and still does a heck of a lot!

Curve Morphing

One of the most important features in Cycle is the concept of morphing. Wave-shapes, spectral curves, and envelopes have the ability to morph - meaning their shape can transform as a modulation source changes, like the mod wheel, or time.

Envelopes

Learn how to make envelopes morph, use them as LFOs, and what the deal is with scratch envelopes.

Effects

The details about the Waveshaper, Impulse Modeller, and other effects.

Deformers

Easily create complex curves without much hassle.

Layers

A layer is a curve wireframe and some parameters that tell Cycle how to process it. Layers let you imitate multiple oscillators and multiple filters.

Signal Flow

A visual guide to Cycle's signal flow.

Using Samples

Learn how to use Cycle's sample analysis function to model a specific sound.

Common Synth Tasks

How do I create a lowpass? How do I make vibrato?
