Import a Sample

Import a Sample

Postby themerx » Mon Nov 24, 2014 7:00 am

Hello,

I would like to know how I could create a Sound like the "Ahh Yeah" Vocal from the presets. It sounds like a sample but it is converted so that it is possible to play it on every frequenzy with the same length (and really clean). If I import a sample, it is similar to a sampler. If I press a higher note, the sample would play higher and faster. What did I do wrong?

Greetz from germany (and sorry for my bad english ;-) )

Hi Themerx

Yes that was created using a sample [for reference]
https://www.freesound.org/people/Corsic ... nds/95238/

To synthesize it you load the reference sample into Cycle, then mimic the different formants with the editing tools. I used a bunch of deformers to get the curves just right.
You'll notice there are several spectral layers; try disabling and enabling each one to see what it contributes.

I may do a tutorial on this preset because there's a lot of steps.
