1.7 (x64)

Hi Daven

Loving 1.7 so far, great update! Especially the 'model' button should be a game changer. I have yet to really delve in...

One thing I noticed was that in the VST64, when I select the patch 'AcidStab' the plugin will crash as soon as I play a note. This is in Bitwig 1.1, 64bit, Windows 8.1 at 44.1kHz. Standalone is fine. Reloading the plugin and that patch will be fine, it seems to crash when you're coming from another patch, but not until you play a note.

1.7 VST64 also still suffers from the sample rate incompatibility in hosted mode. Anything above 44.1 and the VST crashes, referencing ipp_cycle64.dll as the source of the crash. Standalone is ok and 44.1 is fine too (except for the crash above). I really wish this could be fixed somehow. :?:

Cheers

Hi Wasi, thanks for the details. Glad you like the update.

I am trying to find a way to replicate the samplerate bug so I can fix it. I've run 10 or more combinations of 32/64 bit Cycle, 32-512 buffer sizes, 44.1, 48, 96k, Asio4all & WASAPI drivers, doing the steps without a negative result. This is on Windows 7 though and I'll try 8.1 in a jiff.

Perhaps it's even related to which CPU you're running, AMD or Intel? Wish I could be more help.

Oops, sorry I missed this. My specs are these:

Windows 8.1 pro x64
Intel Core i7-3770 @3.4GHz
16GB RAM

Could you re-create it on win8.1?

Just to be clear: This is only when it's hosted, i.e. running it as a 64bit VST. Standalone is fine now.

Wasi, does the Dec 5 update fix it for you? It had for another user.

I replaced some resampling stuff which used an older library.

Hi Daven

Thanks, great news, it seems to work fine now. Thank you very much, this is a big deal for me!

I hadn't seen there was a new version when I posted again on the 21st, so sorry for any trouble. Mine says Dec 4, but I suppose that's the one you mean? Could you maybe add another digit to the version number? It would make it easier to keep track of things.

Thrilled this is fixed though, it's been bugging me (no pun intended) for ages because I work in x64 and 48k.

Merry Xmas!

Wonderful! Glad it's working.

Yeah the 4th I guess, build 2574 in any event. I've included the build number on the installer maybe I ought to put it clearly on the website too.
